I Heart Fabric!

It's kinda on obsession right now. I got a comment yesterday from Brooke asking me where I find cute fabric online. So here is a comprehensive list of my favorites.

ReproDepot~ They have great vintage reproduction fabrics as well as a wide variety of Japanese Import Fabrics and that I love. Not to mention fabulous ribbons, buttons, ect.

Free Spirit Fabric~ They have a wide variety of designers. All with their own unique aesthetic. Lot's of bold florals, whimsical prints, and classic damasks.

Purl Soho~ Along with all the notions, books, needles and yarn, they have an amazing assortment of carefully chosen fabrics.

JCaroline Creative~ They have everthing under the sun. Seriously everything!

Volksfaden~ Just a whole lot of fun!

What I usually do is find the print I like on one of the above sites (or designers sites/blogs) and then see if someone is selling it on ebay or etsy for less. You can find some pretty good bargains that way. And last but not least here are some of my favorite fabric designers

Anna Maria Horner, Heather Bailey, Heather Ross, Joel Dewberry, Sandi Henderson, Amy Butler, Jessica Jones, the list goes on and on and on!

Well I hope this list helps those of you who are as obsessed as me! Also I'm always looking out for more great fabrics and designers. So what are your favorites?

My Fall Favorite

My Mom bought me this pumpkin a couple weeks ago when she came to visit. I love it. Our grocery store called it a Fairytale Pumpkin. I think they are right. It looks like a fairytale. I hope it lasts through Thanksgiving. I think it is the perfect fall decoration.

And the tutorial is...

I know. I know. This was supposed to go up on Monday. I really needed to take a break from all extra curricular activities though, and tend to a few things closer to home. I also had a hard time figuring out what to post about. I kinda wanted to do something Halloween inspired, but it is getting a little late for that. So instead I decided on something useful for your kitchen. I had some cloths Pins left over from the last tutorial so I decided to make some magnets. Sorry for repeating cloths pins, but they are easy and cute. So here it goes.

CLIP MAGNETS

MATERIALS
Cloths Pin
2 Craft Magnets (Not too strong, level 3-5)
Scrapbook Paper
Pencil Scissors
Mod Podge
Sponge Brush

DIRECTIONS
1. Trace with a very sharp pencil around cloths pin, and cut out.
2. Spread layer of Mod Podge directly onto cloths Pin.

3. Place strip of paper over Mod Podge.

4. Spread a second layer of Mod Podge over paper. Let dry 15-20 minutes.

5. Glue magnets onto back of cloths pin. Let dry 15-20 minutes.

All done! I'm giving away a set of 5 magnets! So leave a comment (make sure to leave your name) here before Wednesday Oct. 29th. Check back on the 30th to see if you have won.

Not My Favorite Ending...

I loved the Project Runway finale... but I wish the winner would have been Korto. She was my favorite from the beginning. I must say though I'm just happy it wasn't Kenley. Here's the big question though. Did she or didn't she rip off other designers work?
If she didn't she must be a mind reader. What do you think? Take my poll to the right.

I was supposed to post a new tutorial tomorrow. However my sweet Mom is coming to visit and we are going to be out and about having a ton of fun! So I'm postponing it until Monday Oct. 20th. So check back then.
